5000 ppm, each fed to 34 birds per replicate). The
broilers received the experimental diets until 21 days
of age followed by a conventional diet until 42 days of
age. The experimental diets (Table 1) were based on
corn and soybean meal and were formulated using
the feed chemical composition values and the nutritional
requirements for the average performance of
male broilers according to Rostagno et al. (2005).
The ethanolic extract of propolis was prepared using
