7.2.1 CONTRACTOR must notify the Marine Department of the ordering or purchasing of goods within seven (7) DAYs of the ordering or purchasing date, except for those goods which the Ministry of Transportation has agreed in advance, may be transported by other shipping lines.
7.2.2 The transportation of such goods must be done via Thai shipping lines or similar approved shipping line which has the same right in accordance with the said Act, except that advance prior approval from the Marine Department has been granted for the transportation of those goods to be accomplished by other marine transportation lines.
It is strongly recommended that CONTRACTOR contacts the Marine Department for the details of the transportation requirements.
7.3 Goods carried by ocean going vessels must be shipped by direct routes from shipping point to destination. Transshipment through intermediate points is allowed where shipment by direct routing is not possible.
7.4 CONTRACTOR is encouraged to purchase all fuel and petroleum products in connection with the WORK from PTT.
7.5 CONTRACTOR shall deliver to the SITE, receive, unload, store in a secure place, and deliver from storage to the construction area all EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS required for the performance of the WORK. CONTRACTOR’s storage facilities and methods of storage shall be subject to OWNER’s APPROVAL. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS subject to damage, degradation or spoilage shall be stored in a suitable enclosure provided by CONTRACTOR.
7.6 CONTRACTOR shall keep complete and accurate records of the status of all EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS on SITE, in storage and issued for use in the WORK. This record shall be available for OWNER and CONSULTANT’s inspection.
7.7 CONTRACTOR shall at all times in accordance with the best practice and at no additional cost to OWNER provide protection for all EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS used by CONTRACTOR in the execution of the WORK from damage or loss due to weather, fire, theft, unexplained disappearance or other similar casualty.
CONTRACTOR shall at all times in accordance with the best practices and at no additional cost to OWNER protect from damage due to CONTRACTOR’s operations all EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS (whether stored or installed), and any and all other items on SITE belonging to OWNER or others.
7.8 If CONTRACTOR wishes to move or transport EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS out of the SITE, CONTRACTOR needs the prior APPROVAL therefor from OWNER.
7.9 As soon as possible after EFFECTIVE DATE, CONTRACTOR shall submit to OWNER a list of the EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS for the PLANT which may be shipped on deck together with the specific reasons for such on-deck shipment for OWNER’s APPROVAL. Such APPROVAL will not be unreasonably withheld by OWNER and will be given within twenty five (25) DAYs after receipt of the lists of such EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS, for which OWNER agrees to on-deck shipment.
