the study of Cyr and Pace (1992) showed
different results in that communities
dominated by large zooplankton did not
tend to have higher grazing rates than
communities dominated by small
zooplankton, which did not agree with our
study results. At a density of 1,000 of M.
macrocopa and B. thailandensis, the
efficiency of both species of zooplankton in
reducing the number of phytoplankton was
not statistically different.
