Next, the items related to the conceptual definitions (clarity, adjustment of risk factors and adjustment of the other terms proposed) were assessed by tabulating the experts’ ratings (+1,0and−1) and calculating their respective means. Then the level of agreement among the nurse experts was analysed. Thus, those values close to the extremes of 1 (adequate) or−1(inadequate) indicated good agreement. On the other hand, values close to zero indicated levels of disagreement among the experts. Finally, the content validity index (CVI) was calculated by the sum of all risk factors with DCV≥0·7 and division of their result by the total number of risk factors included in the sum.
