The primary findings of this study was that 6-week strength training
with whole body vibration produced a significantly greater improvement
in jumping performance and maximal leg strength than conventional
training alone in well-trained volleyball and beach volleyball
players. Interestingly, greater effects could be expected among beach
volleyball players. To the author’s knowledge, this is one of the first
studies aimed at examining the effect of WBV added to routine training
on jumping performance in well-trained volleyball and beach
volleyball players. The results of the present study support previous
findings indicating that WBV training produces a moderate-to-large
effect on jump performance
