Genetically homogeneous tissue cultured plantlets of the common indoor plant species, Syngonium podophyllum (Schott) ‘White Butterfly’, were obtained from Jacksons Nursery (The Gap, QLD, Australia) from the same stock of plants used in many indoor plant nurseries. Plantlets were planted to a depth of 1.5 cm in 130 mm self-watering pots (Décor Corporation Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia). Each pot was planted with two plantlets to compensate for potential mortalities.
