3.4. Microbial community responses
Sole carbon source utilization in EcoPlates was used to monitor the potential functional diversity of the respective soil microbial communities. At the reading when each plate had an AWCD of 0.45 , all the treatments had between 21.7 and 23.7 positive wells (Table 5). At the last measurement time (67.25 h after inoculation) all treatments had between 27.0 and 29.0 positive wells of the 31 possible carbon sources. In all soil treatments N-Acyl-DGlucosamine was the most used carbon source, followed by D- Cellobiose, b_methyl-D-Glucoside, D-Galactonic Acid g-Lactone, D- Galacturonic
