then immersed in 4 M sodium hydroxide-ethylene glycol solution
with additives at 25 ± 1 C. After immersed for 1 h inhibitor filmformation,
AA5052 aluminium alloy sample was transported for
FT-IR analysis. A background spectrumwas recorded for a specimen
in the absence of additives. For comparison, the original ADA
powder was also analysed by FT-IR spectrum using the KBr pellet
technique. The corresponding spectral acquisition parameters
were: a selected range of 4000 cm1e400 cm1, 16 times scanning,
and 4 cm1 resolutions.
