The diffraction patterns of the PLAe25 wt% OLA film after
different storage times (Fig. 6(b)) confirmed the DSC results. Up to
30 days of storage at 25 C, only the amorphous halo was observed,
but after 60 days of ageing two diffraction peaks were clearly
detected at around 16.6 and 18.9. Such peaks correspond to the
typical a-crystallographic form of the crystalline phase of PLA,
described as pseudo-orthorhombic unit cell [16,27,31].
