Directions for scoring the tests are also given in the administrative sections of this manual. For all of the Performance tests and three of the Verbal test, the scoring is completely objective. However, evaluation of responses in the Comprehension, Similarities, and Vocabulary tests demands considerable judgment by the examiner. It is impossible to anticipate or to list all the possible responses that will be given for items in these tests, but rather extensive general scoring criteria and sample answers are provided in a separate section of the Manual.
