If you purchased avocados in Texas in the last month, ask your grocer if they received this recalled product and if the avocados you bought were part of the recall. If so, return them to the place of purchase for a refund, then clean your refrigerator or wherever the avocados were stored.
The symptoms of a Salmonella infection include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps that develop 12 to 72 hours after infection. If you ate recalled avocados and have experienced these symptoms, see your doctor.
