The growth curves of the 9th and 10th runs presented a similar
behavior and log phase. Beside dyes, the WE contains other
pollutants such as COD. Growth of C. vulgaris reduces both
the colour and other pollutants, resulting in the bioremediation of the WE.
The concentrations of COD recorded at the end of
all runs were smaller than the initial ones, evidencing the COD
removal during the time of this research study
