Herein, we now report on the synthesis and characterization of two new nitrogen-containing iron compounds which established that coordination of amines takes place regardless of steric bulk of 2,4,6-trimethylaniline. To the best of our knowledge, these are the first examples of iron dicarbonyl complexes with the trimethylaniline ligand to be reported. The only closely related transition metal complex bearing a cyclopentadienyl ring, carbonyls and trimethylaniline is [Cp(CO)
