The antibacterial effect of PEB-2 was tested using a disc diffusion method. Table 1 summarizes the antibacterial effects of PEBs for the different molar ratios of PP/EDTAD/BDA. The results demonstrated, as expected, that the S. aureus's growth was inhibited, and the inhibition zone diameter increased with higher molar ratio of BDA in PEB. Moreover, Fig. 4 shows that the antibacterial effect of PEB-2 is still very significant even 96 h after inoculated with S aureus.
