2.8 Passive cutaneous anaphylaxis test
The homologous antiserum used was prepared according
to method described by Gautam et al (1989). Briefly, albino
rats were sensitized by subcutaneous injection of 100 mg egg
albumin and 12 mg aluminium hydroxide, as adjuvant, on
day 1, 3 and 5. On day 10, animals were bled and antiserum
was collected. The separated antiserum was stored at −20 °C.
The rats were divided in to five groups (n = 5). The rat homologous
