In general, cellulose hemicelluloses and lignin
content in oil palm biomass was range 38.3–49.8, 31.8–35.3 and
22.1–25.7, respectively (Mohammed et al., 2011). Cellulose and
hemicelluloses are easily degradable and could potentially contribute
to biogas production by solid-state anaerobic digestion
(Liew et al., 2012).
