Please find below comments/questions from Finland.
We have now had several meetings on the topic of Issey Miyake packages and have finally made the decisions on how to move forward.
1. We will continue with the current material and structures as is, no changes
2. We will start a separate change process for cost improvement for the textile packages, a preliminary plan for this is outlined below:
- How much raw material is now in stock at Pearl, when do they need to make a new order for the current raw material? We can then plan a rolling change if we decide to change the material
- The target is to cut down the package cost by roughly 50%
- We wish to investigate what different paper options are available at Pearl. The materials should be easily available and in the normal production at Pearl with a similar cost level as the first local carton material.
- Would it be possible to change the table flower package inner part back to normal brown fluted cardboard? What would be the price impact?
- If the material change for carton and inner part are not enough to bring down the price of the table flower packages, we will start a change to revise the structure so that there is no separate inner part.
Could you please check above questions and give us some feedback soon ?
Thanks in advance.
