English has been spreading widely all over the world, English is a directly influencing to other languages in different levels. It is also important for education in Thailand. Education is the powerful tool that helps to modify the behavior of students according to the needs of society. Nowadays, learning English as a second language, vocabulary is one of most important roles for students because it is one element that links the four skills such as listening, speaking, and reading, writing together. In learning a foreign language, students should obtain an adequate number of words and should know how to use them accurately. Words carry the content of what we want to say. The more words students know, the more they understand the text. Vocabulary is one of most basic elements of mastering the English language. Without vocabulary, we cannot express anything in English, not to say write a good article or talk with foreigners in English. However, memorizing vocabulary has been a big difficulty making students lose interest in the process of learning English. As a result, we would like to find some productive ways to explore the positive affecting factors in memorizing English vocabulary to help students learn English effectively.
Memorizing vocabulary is one way to help students be successful in learning English Language. Due to a study of affecting factors in memorizing English vocabulary can help students to improve their English skills. Memorizing vocabulary will help the students to get the motivation in learning language. In fact, memorizing vocabulary has been a part of the human experience for learning, also it has become an integral part of our language experience. Therefore, it can be useful for a language lesson in efficiency ways.
In learning English, remembering the vocabulary is a very important to make the students learn well. From the teaching experience and observation. Most students do not succeed in learning English because they cannot remember vocabulary. They recite the vocabulary, which makes them know vocabulary only in short-term memories. Then they forget vocabulary. Therefore, this research is a survey of factors that affect English vocabulary memorization for grade 11 students at Piboonbumpen Demonstration School.
