Prior to the visit, talk with the host customer to discuss the organization’s special interests.
Develop a list of specific functions to be executed and provide it in advance to the host
customer. Make it clear that part of the purpose is to talk to people, at all levels of the
organization, who are involved in the actual use of the product. If the review team only talks
to the in house product champion, they may learn little more than through discussions with the
vendor sales teams.
