Next, I read about “Fusion? Confusion” and the teacher told us to read it by using the skimming skill. After that, she told me to summarize each paragraph. I used reading for detail for sum-up. After that, she asked for us to write summarizes each paragraph on the whiteboard.
Paragaph1: In general, it’s not true that Japanese are more conservative than American, especially when it comes to dress.
Paragaph2: Yumiko had the first bad experience because of her clothes.
Paragaph3: Yumiko had the second bad experience because of her clothes.

After that, I answered the questions. Next, we did the activating vocabulary by looking at the picture and solving the anagrams about hair. For example:

After that, the teacher told me to talk about the style of my favorite superstar with my friends. It was about the hair style, clothes, and shoes. I talked about Bie the star. He has shaggy hair style and wears T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers.
I found the pre-reading1 activity, it was easy for me. Because I could do it all correct.
I think the sum-up each paragraph, it was difficult for me. But I solved this problem by a discussion with my friends.
I used the previewing, skimming, scanning, reading for detail, and guessing for reading.
