Chief of Training
G1.3.6.1 Role Purpose Statement
The Chief of Training reports to the Director, Ground Operations. He/She
is responsible for managing, coordinating training activities to ensure all ground operations staffs are proficient in performing their functions, thereby realizing Company goals and objectives.
G1.3.6.2 Job Descriptions
It is the duties and responsibilities of the Training Supervisor to:
• Research, develop, organize, implement and facilitate training programs for ground operational personnel in the accomplishment of their functions;
• Ensure training courses comply with regulatory requirements and, where applicable, are approved by DCA or relevant authorities;
• Conduct continual assessment of Company operations and seek inputs from the Director, Ground Operations to gain knowledge and better understanding of future training needs;
• Review and update training curricula in accordance with changes in regulatory requirements and Company standards;
• Establish annual plan to fulfill department training needs;
• Propose annual budget and prepare estimates for training activities, and monitor spending from the training budget;
• Audit training-in-progress to ensure standardized training methods and materials are being used;
• Evaluate the performance and competence of Ground Operations Instructors;
• Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training programs and delivery methods to ensure consistent, quality results are achieved;
• Organize, and coordinate with, external training resources to conduct expert training as necessary;
