France, it’s illegal for women to wear pants
french ladies
In 1799, a Paris law made it illegal for women to wear pants in public without special approval from the police. It was once amended in 1892 to allow women to sport trousers while riding horses and again in 1909 to permit the ladies to wear pants while on bicycles. And finally in 2013, the French government has revoked this 214-year-old law.
