The main research question of the present study is how
Greek early childhood educators interact with children. Our
research results suggest that our sample interacts positively
with children but at the same time they tend to exhibit a
detached and permissive attitude. Those results affirm, in
an extent, previous research results from Greece (Mantziou
2000). Yet, Petrogiannis and Melhuish (1996) and Petrogiannis
(2002) recorder higher punitiveness and detachment
scores.
