Thailand's consumer price inflation eased to the lowest since late 2009, figures from the Ministry of Commerce showed Monday.
The consumer price index rose 0.60 percent year-over-year in December, slower 1.26 percent increase in the previous month.
The latest inflation figure was the lowest since October 2009, when it was 0.40 percent. Inflation has eased for the seventh straight month.
Core consumer prices, which excludes raw food and energy rose 1.69 percent annually in December, faster than 1.60 climb in November. The latest figure was the highest in three months.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.50 percent during the month, after a 0.12 percent drop seen in the prior month. It was also the seventh successive month of fall. The core consumer price index increased 0.18 percent, following a 0.11 percent rise in November
