The economy of the system and the optimization result are
significantly dependent on the diesel fuel price, the capital and
O&M cost of the biogas engine generator set system and the
maximum allowable capacity shortage. To understand the effects of
aforementioned parameters, a sensitivity analysis has been performed.
The decision variables taken into account in the optimization
process are the number of PV modules, wind turbine size,
battery bank capacity, size of the engine and size of the inverter.
The sensitivity variables are shown in Table 6. The costs related to
the biogas engine are defined as a multiplier relative to the base
cost assumption (Table 5) which is explained more in the sensitivity
results' section thoroughly.
