III. THE DAIRY COW DISEASE KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION
The collection of expert's knowledge and experience
which passed validation and verification of knowledge base
was corroborated by the veterinarian team, the Faculty of
Veterinary Science, Rajamangala University of Technology
Srivijaya. The dairy cow disease knowledge includes 38
diseases which frequently occurred in Thailand [8]-[10]. A
disease occurs in males or females or both genders. The
diseases occur in five age range such as born, pre-weaning,
post- weaning, puberty and breeding. The symptoms of all
disease consist of 97 symptoms and 150 symptom images.
We used the symptoms appeared prominently for defining
the symptom of the various diseases. We used the average
of significant weight of symptom which was defined by 4
veterinarians for defining the significant weight of
symptom. The symptoms occur in 10 body systems, which
are digestive, intergumentary, nervous, reproductive,
circulatory, respiratory, urinary, skeletal, muscular and
endocrine system. The knowledge included symptoms
sequence of disease, disease prevention, diseased animal
care and disease spread prevention.
IV.MODEL OF KNOWLEDGE REPRESENTATION IN
KNOWLEDGE BASE
The model of knowledge representation used IF-THEN
rule base. The disease diagnosis step consisted of disease
screening and disease diagnosis.
