As university mentors, we have had a wonderful opportunity to come
to a local school which allows all of us the freedom of access to nonconfidential
records, classrooms, teachers, parents, board members, and
students. We have been able to reshape the school in terms of its
approaches to teaching and learning, as well as conduct research in these
areas. We have a laboratory school (personal communication, mentor,
discussion during data analysis session, 2006).
