This activity aims at getting students to practice speaking English in daily life situation. In pairs or in groups of not more than 5,students use vocabulary and expressions to create a situation and script. Language functions including greeting, introducing oneself and others, making phone calls, asking for permission, thanking and apologizing are covered in two separate role plays. The first role play is conducted during the mid-term period and the second at the end of the semester. Each role play is worth 10 points and both are conducted in front of the class.
