Brief:
Reposition the brand in the consumers mind by refreshing the image to appeal to the younger generation of females. Carefree required a new Facebook page to attract the everyday teenage girl through gaining their attention, in order to educate them of the ‘everyday freshness’ associated with the Carefree brand
Idea:
An insight from the Carefree brand team set us in the right direction as they identified, our target ‘they love uncertainty’. With this and the cooperation between the Carefree team, Media Brand and our team at BrandBaker, we were able to come up with the exciting ‘unpredictable’ concept of ‘Carefree Daily Daisy’ (the Carefree logo being a daisy).
Execution:
The Facebook page was created with the brand essence in its name, ‘Carefree Fresh Me Up’.
The main contents of the Facebook page consisted of educative information about lifestyle matters associated with the Carefree brand, this content was used to attract the girls and gain their attention.
To assist with our Facebook content we created the ‘Carefree Daily daisy App’, users were able to obtain their fortune in 3 areas, Love, Study and General. The user would ‘pull’ the daisy and the fortune would appear embedded with brand messages such as freshness, confidence and readiness, along with the Carefree daily tips this was then posted on their wall to be shared with friends. Users were also given the option to ‘pull’ a fortune for their best friends.
