The results show that wandering was fairly constant during the baseline condition, in which Stuart was not involved in any specific stimulation or activity.
Wandering, however, dropped during the colouring and music conditions.
The colouring condition, which had the apparent advantage of promoting high levels of constructive engagement, was also the one that Stuart strongly preferred through the choice
phase.
The implementation of this condition maintained the positive effects through the fourth phase
of the study (i.e. when the baseline condition continued to show constant wandering) and the
fifth phase of the study (i.e. when it was the only condition applied)
