5.3 Multiple regression analysis
Multiple regression analysis is a statistical technique used to analyze the relationship
between a single dependent variable and several independent variables (Hair et al.,
2006). This analysis should be used only when both the dependent and independent
variables are metric (Hair et al., 2006). This study analyzed the metric data of six
independent variables (i.e. leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, human
resource focus, process management, and information analysis) and one dependent
variable (i.e. role conflict), respectively.
