IT has scheduled major system and network upgrades to coincide with the US holiday closure of HGST from 8:00am PDT July 3rd through 4pm July 5th, 2015. Employees around the world who try to log into applications hosted on the Great Oaks network will experience intermittent connectivity during those dates and times. Specific applications that are unavailable and available are shown below.
This downtime will allow IT to replace legacy and end-of-life network, data storage devices, and servers, and do some server upgrades. This is part of our ongoing efforts to provide a secure, reliable, and compelling productivity environment at HGST. This is essentially the biggest IT “housecleaning" we have ever done.
Keep in mind that services/applications are only unavailable during the specified times and will go back up during unspecified times.
