At the end of 5
days fermentation period, the yeast produced 23.25 ± 1.07 g/l of
SLs when grown on medium containing only sugarcane molasses
and soybean oil (medium type III (a)). But when soybean oil was
replaced with sunflower oil (medium type III (b)) or olive oil (medium
type III (c)), the SLs yield was lesser at only 17.46 ± 1.56 g/l or
18.96 ± 0.44 g/l, respectively.
