I would like to inform you about the new standard hardware available for Draexlmaier starting with April 2014. In attachment you have a list with new computers (notebooks and desktops) which will be available.
Draexlmaier is part of an automotive market community which contains around 18 suppliers. The goal of the community is to act as buying syndicate during hardware RFPs.
I would like to emphasize the importance you have in your locations regarding the process of ordering of IT hardware. As you know, the MOVE project is intended to decrease and efficiency the costs in all functions.
Since notebooks are more expensive than desktops, in the future please take in consideration the following criteria's when notebooks are purchased:
• An employee often works at different places at the site and/or has to travel for at least 25% of his/her working time for his/her job. Participation at meetings at the site is no reason for a mobile workplace.
• An employee has a tele workplace or regularly works at his/her home office.
• The job status of an employee is at least ABL or higher and/or is equal to this job status in the specialist/project career path.
• As an alternative, the HBL of the relevant functional unit or the SO-L can decide that the employee urgently needs a notebook to carry out his/her job.
