Endosperm of mature coconut was made into a viscous
slurry and squeezed through cheese cloth to obtain coconut
milk which was refrigerated for 48 h. After 48 h, the
milk was subjected to mild heating (50 C) in a thermostat
oven. The obtained virgin oil was filtered through cheesecloth
and was used for the present study (Nevin & Rajamohan,
2004).
