REFORM JOMTIEN BEACH ROAD
Re. Ban the whistles ”(Postbag, June 21).
I have live in Thailand for more than
40 years and have seen my fair share of
Military intervention. I have always been
Strong in favour of a good general ieading
The country as opposed to our so- called
Politicians who are a far cry from mature
Enough to lead anything. I wholeheart-
Edly agree with Richard Bryant that this
Country needs to change its ways regarding
noise pollution.
All owners or manager of department
stores(especially MBK) ,condo buildings,
parking lots ,hotels and wherever whistle-
blowing watchmen are employed ,should
simply take the whistles away from them.
I also have a small wish list for khunprayuth.
Each and every evening ,jomtien
Beach Road is full of parked cars and
Pickcutrucks,equipped with huge
Loudspeakers blasting music into the
Wee hours of the morning. This makes
It impossible to get a good night’s sleep
(though it was nice and quiet during the
Cufew.)
The tourism industry together with
The Toursim Authority of Thailand is
Spending a fortune on tourist related
Promotions in order to lure tourists to
Visit the country .That money is wasted if
We cannot even offer them a good night’s
Sleep.
Dear KhunPrayuth. As nobody in the
Past-neither Pattayapolicsnor Pattaya
City hall-has been able or willing to
Deal with this, could you please send a
Small unit of your army troops to patrol
Jomtien Beach Roed at night, and once
And for all clean un this noise pollution.
