This leadership style focuses more on production and getting the job done. Leaders with this style would schedule work with and for people, focus attention on goals, and emphasize the importance of meeting deadlines. For example, this kind of leader would most likely emphasize the need for work and project plans, require people to work from specific and time-framed goals, and hold regular meetings to check on task-related projects.

Strengths and Weaknesses of People-focused Leadership Style
Initially, researchers believed these two styles were opposite ends of the same scale. That is, a people-focused leader would not have the skills of a task-focused leader, and vice-versa. But additional research has shown that these are two independent sets of behaviors. Thus, leaders can demonstrate high or low levels of ability in both leadership styles.
