It was still the most perfect day to him so far in his twenty-one years of life. Remembering the Autumn day and the way the leaves fell to the ground, reflecting on the way the other smiled at him, and remembering that first hello made the decision he was about to make so much easier.
He came back to reality as he pulled up in front of the apartment complex across town where he was picking up his date. He pulled out his phone to let him know he had arrived.
"You look ridiculous."
Junho groaned and shook his head. "Chansung, not you too." He mumbled.
Chansung shrugged. "Nichkhun-hyung sent me a picture before you left."
"He's so dead."
Chansung laughed and shook his head. "Let's just go. I'm starving."
Dinner went as it usually did. There was conversation about Junho's job; there was even more conversation on how much Chansung hated his classes and the fact that his teachers always gave homework. Dessert was served; they always shared one dessert.
"How about we go to the park?" Junho asked as he laced his fingers with Chansung's once they walked out of the restaurant. "I don't want to go home yet."
Chansung simply looked at the slightly older male for a moment before shrugging and nodding. The park, much like the restaurant they had just exited, meant a lot to the both of them.
The park was where they had met. The restaurant was where Chansung had asked Junho out.
After walking about two times around the park, the two boys stopped at the swing set and Chansung sat down; Junho didn't.
Junho knelt down in front of where Chansung had sat.
"What are you doing?" Chansung's eyes widened. "Junho. Ge-get on a swing. What are..."
Junho shook his head. "You've always beaten me at being first. You paid for our first meal; you asked me out; you gave me our first kiss; you were the first to say 'I love you'... But, it's my turn to be the first to do something..."
"Junho..."
"Will you hush and let me speak?" Junho raised an eyebrow, sighing. "Through rain and snow I'll cherish you; I'll take care of you through hardships and troubles, I'll always be there... All the many days we'll spend together...All I have to give you is my love; that's all I've got to offer... I know I lack many things but not my love; I'll look out and take care of you. Will you promise me just one thing? No matter what happens, we'll always love each other... That's all." He paused and looked directly into Chansung's eyes. "Will you marry me?"
Chansung was silent for a moment before he wiped a few tears from his eyes and tackled Junho onto the ground with a very happy, passionate kiss. "Yes. I will. I do."
