The male accessory glands (mesadenia and ectadenia) in D. baccarum are sack-shaped and milk white in color and open into the vas deferens at the distal end of the ductus ejaculatorius (Fig. 2a and b). The accessory glands in D. baccarum are paired and situated in the posteroventral region of the male abdomen. They are shown
to have an abundant supply of tracheae (Fig. 2b).
