A grieving Chinese couple are offering $120,000 to find a man who will marry their dead daughter, according to local media report. The parents, from Tianjin, are seeking a groom aged 25 to 35 to marry their daughter who died on Feb 11 at the age of 28. The successful applicant would reportedly go through a legal marriage ceremony at which personal belongings of the woman would represent the bride. The new husband would then receive $120,000 – a fortune in rural China – and an apartment from his parents-in-law, provided he remained faithful to his “ghost bride”. The woman’s mother, a restaurant owner, said a dream after her daughter’s death had made the mother realize daughter was lonely in the spirit world.
