The author divided the eight future
teachers into four groups, consisting of the
circle group, the rectangle group, and the
two hexagon groups. The author assigned
future teachers each for the circle and the
rectangle groups, and two to each of the
hexagon groups. The responsibilities were to
execute the activity, lead the groups, and
help the elementary children understand the
meaning of fractions and equivalent fractions.
The idea of the activity was that the
elementary students would make fraction
flowers using the shapes, glue, and colored
pens, as shown in Figures 5, 6, and 7. These
future teachers were responsible for making
lesson plans to help the elementary children
to understand equivalent fractions in the
flowers from the same whole
