Applicants must meet the University admission requirements of: gaining the University Entrance standard from a New Zealand secondary school or have completed an accepted equivalent of the University Entrance standard from a secondary school or tertiary institution or must have completed a specified duration of acceptable tertiary study from a recognised tertiary institution. They must also have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma (minimum total score of 24) or any equivalent country specific requirements. Applicants must also fulfill any one of the following English language requirements: overall IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 and all bands 5.5 or better; overall internet-based TOEFL (iBT) score of 80 plus a writing score of 21; overall paper-based TOEFL score of 550 plus essay (TWE) of 4.5; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 52 or higher, no individual language skill below borderline; Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) score of 45 or higher; Pearson Test of English (PTE) academic overall score of 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 80.
