Why No Wireless?
We know that wireless speakers are all the rage at the moment. But we also recall a time not too long ago when TVs with built-in VCRs were all the rage. And then tapes were soon supplanted by optical discs, first with DVD which is currently being supplanted by Blu-ray.
From the start, we knew that we wanted the Model 260 to be an heirloom product, and not something that would end up in a landfill in five or ten years. And that led us to the decision to avoid making it the audio equivalent of the TV with a built-in VCR. The analogue input has been with us for many decades and we feel it will still be viable for many more to come.
Fortunately there is a wide variety of third-party wireless receivers, from Apple's Airport Express to the Sonos Connect, allowing users to not only enjoy the convenience of wireless but also to choose the format (Airport, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and user interface they prefer instead of having it forced
