In this paper, an applicable mobile fingerprint method for user identity authentication is proposed. Multiple views of fingerprint images are captured by users using their own mobile cameras. The one most close to the front view image will be selected from those multiple fingerprint images. An algorithm for determining the best candidate for the front view fingerprint is proposed. The total number of pixels that correspond to the effective fingerprint area of each image is calculated. The one that has the maximum number of pixels is the best candidate to be used as the front view images. The main advantage of this method is the relative simple image capturing condition. In addition, the multiple fingerprints of different oriented 2D projections from the same finger are correlated to each other. The correlation among different images can be used to determine the genuine of fingerprint
