As part of a wider research carried out to investigate delay and disruption
analysis in construction organizations, this paper reports on
an aspect of the study conducted to throw light on the underlying
programming issues affecting delay claims resolutions, as demonstrated
by an initial large-scale survey of the research. The aspect
reported was based on in-depth interviews carried out with experienced
planning engineers within the U.K. construction industry.
The key conclusions based on the study findings are summarized as
