Stratus clouds
Stratus clouds look like gray, shapeless blankets that cover most of the sky. They are usually only about 0.8kilometer thick, but they can be almost1,000kilometers wide. Whan you see stratue clouds are low-level clouds that are located quite clise to the ground. In fact, sometimes they lie on the ground or the ocean, and then they are called fog. A stratus cloud forms when warm, wet air moves slowly over an area of cooler air. The warm air rises, cools, and changrs into water droplets. The droplets join together and create a stratus cloud.
