Borrowing from the social network theory, we adopted five role classifications (coordinator, gatespeaker,
representative, consultant and liaison) and three types of social network (advice, friendship and information
networks) as our analytical base for comparing the B&B service cognition differences of the five role
classifications as shown in Figure 1. Thus, the questionnaire regarding to the social network communication was
modified by the study of Krackhardt (1993).
