The fruits of Z. jujuba, named locally as Nebka (NB), were collected
from the region of Medea, Algeria. The raw NB material used was carefully
washed with distilled water (d-H2O) and dried at 110 °C for 24 h.
The dried seeds were ground and sieved to obtain a particle size varying
from 0.5 mm to 1 mm. The resulting product was then maintained in
hermetically closed bottles.
