2.3.2. Characterization
Some chosen samples were dried, milled, and then characterized by several methods, including XRD analysis, Thermogravimetric/Differential scanning calorimetry (TG/DSC) analysis and Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis. XRD was performed on a Rigaku D/max-3Bx diffractometer with Cu Kα radiation, in the range of 3–90° 2θ and at a step size of 0.02°. TG/DSC analysis was performed on a thermal analyzer (STA449C), from 25 °C (room temperature) to 1200 °C with a heating rate of 5 °C/min. Infrared spectra were recorded by means of a Thermo-Electron FTIR spectrometer (Avatar370) in the range of 4000–400 cm− 1.
