In a note, ANZ Bank said that stocks of sugar from Brazil and Thailand would continue to pressure world sugar prices while doubts over buying from Russia due to tensions with Ukraine ‘could push imports to even lower levels than in recent years,’ Dow Jones reports.
Yet, the bank expects sugar prices to trade sideways in the current quarter with some chance for improvement after the third quarter as Brazil's sugar stocks go back down to more normal levels.
